Tim Maloney, president and CEO of the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Jr./US Bank Foundation, is the recipient of this year’s Film Cincinnati Lori Holladay Founder’s Award, to be presented at the annual Backlot Gala on Saturday, September 7 at Waypoint Aviation.
The Lori Holladay Founder’s Award, started in 2017 to commemorate Film Cincinnati’s 30th anniversary, is named after the first executive director of Film Cincinnati (then known as the Greater Cincinnati Film Commission). It is presented annually to a person or group whose determination and passion for filmmaking serves Cincinnati with the same drive that Lori exhibited day in and day out for 17 years.
“This year, our Founder’s Award goes to a civic leader whose love for our great city is no secret and is committed to investing thousands of dollars into Cincinnati’s economy and creating hundreds of jobs in the film industry,” said Kristen Schlotman, Film Cincinnati executive director. “We cannot think of a more deserving recipient than Tim Maloney, who firmly believes that by investing in projects and organizations that make Greater Cincinnati a major player for film production, the foundation honors the legacy of Ralph and Carol Anne Haile.
“As we commemorate Film Cincinnati’s 32th anniversary, we look back to remember and celebrate Lori Holladay as we also look forward to the future,” said Schlotman. “We build on her legacy to bring more award-winning productions to the region and more opportunities for local talent and businesses. Her vision, hard work and humility gave our region a foundation of filmmaking that is thriving today as Cincinnati now ranks among the top seven cities worldwide for film production.”
“Our partnership with Film Cincinnati started in 2010 and has provided one of our best investment returns,” said Maloney. “It has been gratifying to watch this team in action. They create new Film Cincinnati ambassadors with each project they touch. Bravo!”
